Security and Privacy Focused
Codio values the privacy and security of both educators and students. When using our AI tools, no identifiable data is sent in API requests. The only data transferred includes the course context and instructions provided by the instructor. Any data logged during these interactions is owned by the instructor or institution, and is only reviewed by Codio in case of specific issues flagged by users. Otherwise, your data is never used for any third-party purposes.
Seamless Integration with Leading AI Models
Behind the scenes, Codio leverages the state-of-the-art Claude LLM models from Anthropic. We’ve marked that any data sent to Anthropic in API requests to not be used to train their models. Moreover, we’ve applied best practices in prompt engineering to ensure that the responses are consistent, structured, and in line with an educator's voice. The end result is not just a machine-generated response but material that feels like it was crafted by an instructor.
Nevertheless, we offer the same levels of flexibility and customization with custom assistants in Codio Coach where instructors can choose to use an LLM of their choice (Commercial or Open Source) for making API requests when building learning assistants.
