Manual grading of student projects released

Codio has now launched the first of its two part support for the manual grading of any type of coding project. The second part, coming in early June 2016, will add a 'grading rubric' that provides a grading framework when assigning grades, ensuring strong consistency when assigning grades especially when more than one person is grading a single project.

Overview

The grading facility provides the following high level features

  • Assign a grade using letters, scores or percentages.
  • Add comments to the student.
  • You can withhold grades until you explicitly release them to the entire class.
  • Grades will be automatically sent to your LMS gradebook (Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas etc,) when you release grades to the class.
  • Grading moderation - allows other lecturers to assign grades to students who have already been graded in order to check grading consistency.
  • Grading rubric providing grading guidelines (early June 2016).
