Most institutions are teaching AI in pieces — a literacy module here, an AI elective there, nothing that connects. That's the gap this launch closes.
Three new courses are now in the Codio courseware library: AI Literacy, Python with Claude Code, and GenAI for Developers — spanning general education through advanced computer science, so an institution can teach AI at every level a student is starting from, not just one.

What makes it different
Each course targets a distinct audience, but they share one design principle: AI isn't bolted on after the fact, it's built into how students learn from day one.
AI Literacy teaches responsible AI use aligned to the U.S. Department of Labor's AI Literacy framework — for students of any major, no coding background required. Python with Claude Code pairs foundational programming with AI-assisted coding from a student's very first lines of code, not introduced later as an afterthought. GenAI for Developers moves CS majors from using AI tools to building with them — real applications calling industry-standard generative AI APIs.
Across all three, faculty get full visibility into student AI usage and reasoning, and any of the three can be integrated into existing curricula without adding administrative overhead.
See it in action
We recently hosted a live walkthrough of all three courses with Codio CEO Doug Hughes — covering the instructor and student experience, how the three courses work together as a coherent AI curriculum, and practical strategies for rolling out AI education across an institution. If you'd like to see it before adopting, the recording is available.
