Requirements
Before adopting Codio, Accelerated Innovation faced several challenges in delivering professional AI / software engineering courses to corporate clients:
Environment Setup: Workshops often lost 2–3 hours configuring learner environments (Visual Studio, local SDK conflicts, corporate IT restrictions). Codio eliminated setup completely by running code in a cloud IDE.
“Every workshop, we’d lose half a day to ‘it doesn't work on my machine.’ Codio solved that instantly.”
Version & Project Management: Training required managing multiple incremental project versions – previously stored in GitHub as separate folders. Codio’s “Solution Begin / Solution End” feature removed the need for manual scaffolding.
Consistent Learner Experience: Client teams used a mix of devices, OSes, and permissions. Codio ensured every learner ran the same environment in the browser.
Flexibility for Custom Content: Unlike LMS-first tools, Codio allowed notebooks, VS Code workspaces, HTML slides, and integrated LLM workflows in one place.
Rapid Iteration: Instructors needed to prototype content quickly and “test as a student.” Codio allowed cloning projects, previewing student mode, and fast iteration.

Leading up to the meeting, we continued to navigate through the documentation to develop a list of questions we had as we tried to incorporate our curriculum into the platform.
