Codio was there: StacsHack 2016

Codio was a proud sponsor of StacsHack 2016, a student run hackathon at the University of St. Andrew's School of Computer Science. The 24 hour hackathon kicked off on Saturday morning with bagpipes!

Codio set a challenge for participants to create an online course for a programming language, library or algorithm using our Guide authoring and assessment tools. Our challenge was attempted by nine hackers focussing on a wide range of technologies from C++, Python to Machine Learning and Dijkstra's algorithm.

Team AlgERRithm won the Codio challenge with their Dijkstra's algorithm Python course. Their course used emotive storytelling and humour to teach students a complex algorithm.

Codio is sponsoring and attending the BCUHack next, which is taking place at Birmingham City University on 29 February. We are looking forward to see what BCU students create!
